The goal of the Oregon Scooter Club is to host events promoting safe riding, good road manners and scooter awareness. All events are open to any scooter model and to people of all ages and backgrounds. OSC hopes to fill the gap between new and experienced scooter riders by providing newsletters, mechanical workshops, monthly rides, social events and more.

This website won't be supported for much longer, so Oregon Scooter Club will transition to a new social networking site at oregonscooterclub.ning.com.

Check it out & create a member account there if you haven't yet. It's free. As a member, you can easily email other members, post pictures, make blog entries, participate in forum discussions, and add the site's activity to your RSS feed.

We're hoping that it will help members to be better-connected with each other.

The St. Johns Scooter Club (North Portland) has invited everyone to come ride in the 46th annual neighborhood parade. Email Ken for details about when & where to show up. Tons of fun and great folks.

After the parade, come check out the St. Johns Bizarre where our scooterist friends Todd and Laura's glass shop This Place Blows will have a booth (manned my me and Max!).

Sunday, May 11: OSC meeting and ride

This Sunday, May 11, the Oregon Scooter Club will be hosting its monthly ride. Meet at the Hip Drip Cafe (inside the Eco-Motion dealership at 1625 NE Sandy Boulevard) at 11 AM, and ride leaves at 12 PM sharp. This month OSC member Phil Oliver will be leading us on a tour of some of the windier bits of Southeast Portland.

This event is open to all ages and all makes and sizes of scooters (motorcycles too!). You need not be an OSC member to ride with us, but we encourage you to join so that you have the opportunity to attend all of our events. Non-members riding with us for the first time will be asked to sign a waiver. See ride coordinators for details (no fees).... Please perform a safety check on your scooter the day of the ride and arrive with a full tank of fuel.

The club officers will be meeting at 10:00 AM at the Hip Drip to discuss club business. We welcome any active club members to attend these meetings if they would like to be involved in organizing and participating in OSC events. We value any volunteer efforts from our member base and we encourage anyone interested in helping to come to our meetings.

Do I have your 1966 Vespa 125 Super?

I bought a 1966 Vespa 125 super months back from a guy's scrap pile and recently gave up on it as a project deciding instead to sell it off & fund another project. Well, big suprise, the oregon highway patrol says it's stolen. -Stupid me. If your 125 Super was stolen in 2005, email me with the VIN and a scan of the title and it's yours again.

1980 Vespa P200, two-tone green/cream, stolen from Mojo's Coffee parking lot, across from the Bonfire at SE 28th and Stark last night.
